IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46) - A South Carolina man who is wanted for attempted murder was caught on a security camera stealing items from an outbuilding in Iredell County, deputies said.
Joshua Windfield Drummond, 40, is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, giving fictitious information to an officer, and being charged on a fugitive warrant.
The Iredell County Sheriff's Office said on Tuesday, July 18 deputies responded to 111 Bunny Lane where a man was caught on camera breaking into an outbuilding on the property and stealing items.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located Drummond and items taken from the property hidden in the bushes in front of Drummond's home. A search warrant was used to gain access to Drummond's property where deputies found more stolen items.
Drummond initially gave deputies a fake name.
Deputies said a check of Drummond’s information found that he was wanted out of South Carolina for attempted murder. Drummond’s history shows that he has an extensive history of attempted robbery, armed robbery, and other violent crimes.
Drummond is under a $750,000 secured bond and a $10,000 secured bond.
