ROCK HILL, SC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A woman is accused of targeting adults who have special needs and stealing from them, according to the Rock Hill Police Department.
Kylie Davis is charged with two counts of exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
According to the police department, officers met with Site Coordinator Julie Martin and House Manager Janice Meyer at Brown Villas who explained their facility is a home for special needs adults who are assisted with day to day living.
The two women told officers that money had been stolen from resident's EBT accounts.
The two women told police they believed a former employee, identified as Kylie Davis, used the victim's EBT cards numerous times, without their consent or knowledge. They believed Davis would use the cards throughout the week, taking a total of $230.48.
Davis reportedly made statements at work that "she believed that she would get into trouble." She quit her job abruptly before management could call police.
Davis turned herself in to the Rock Hill Police Department on Monday, August 13.
