Search for suspects who fired shots into Monroe homes continues

- The Union County Sheriff’s Office released a surveillance video on their Facebook page of a shots fired incident in a family-friendly neighborhood.

“The main point in posting this video was hopefully to gain information and to get people talking. Which that has happened. We've gotten a lot of tips and information as a result,” said Tony Underwood with the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called out to Annaberg Ln. in Monroe on Sunday evening after neighbors reported hearing several shots fired on the street.

When investigators arrived they found homes that were struck with bullets. Nobody was injured in the incident.

A neighbor’s home security system recorded the incident. It captured three men walking back and forth, when one of the suspects, pulls out a gun and starts firing.

Investigators said the shooting was targeted at a specific home where several people were inside, including adults and teenagers. Those victims have been cooperating with police.

Neighbors whose homes were also struck or who live on the street are concerned.

“After this, some of us have considered moving out of the neighborhood,” said one homeowner.
