Missing Charlotte man found safe

- UPDATE:  Mr. Williams was located safe in South Carolina and taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.


A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Charlotte man who is believed to be suffering from dementia.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say Paul Williams, 82, left his house on Trinity Rd. in Charlotte on Friday around 7 P.M. He may be traveling to Winston-Salem in order to meet his wife. 

Williams is described as 5'6 tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He has gray short hair and walks with a limp. Williams also has scars on both knees. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. 

Police say Williams may be traveling in his burgundy 2015 Chevrolet Silverado truck with pink writing on the driver side window.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call 911.
