LINCOLNTON, NC (FOX 46) - Lincolnton Police conducted an undercover operation targeting online sex predators that target children. Six offenders were arrested.
Delvin Roger Fox, Chris Scott Nance and Matthew Wade Packard were arrested and charged with solicitation of a child by a computer for an unlawful sex act and appearing to meet the child, according to police. Terrence John Reed, Monte Lynn Wall and Jeffrey Ralph Talbott were arrested and charged with solicitation of a child by a computer for an unlawful sex act and appearing to meet the child and disseminating obscene images to a minor, according to police.
Police say Fox, Nance and Wall were given a secured bond each of $50,000. Pickard was given a secured bond of $25,000. Reed was given a secured bond of $75,000 and Talbott was given a secured bond of $70,000, according to police.
“The Lincolnton Police Department is constantly working hard to identify, investigate, and apprehend online sexual predators that target children as victims. These offenders have utilized social media as a means to target children. Our detectives and officers have kept up in the latest training as it relates to this medium as a means of child victimization” says Lt. Jason Munday of the Lincolnton Police Department. “Our goal is to protect as many potential child victims from ever being victimized through these proactive operations.”
