HICKORY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Extreme tubing -- it may be one of the more unusual ways folks are traveling through downtown Hickory on Sunday.
FOX 46 Charlotte's David Sentendrey asked one group of friends about the reactions they're getting from their tubing adventures this weekend and they said almost everyone, including the police, gave them a thumbs up!

Many roads have turned into 'sled hills' Sunday in Hickory.
Few cars are taking their chances at driving through the mess. Folks on sleds seem to have a different point-of-view.
This isn’t a sled 🛷 hill — this is a sled road. This is how bad the secondary roads are in Hickory. Few cars are taking their chances at driving through this mess. People on sleds have a different point-of-view. You can see a handful of them gathered at the top. @FOX46News pic.twitter.com/MmcSMfWkdS— David Sentendrey (@DavidFox46) December 9, 2018
Cones have been placed at the intersection of 4th Avenue NW and 2nd Street NW to prevent vehicles from driving towards sled riders on the road in the Oakwood neighborhood of Hickory.
