Snow touches down across Grandfather Mountain on New Year's Eve

- New Year's resolution? Snow! On New Year's Eve, Grandfather Mountain received approximately two inches of snow, along with plentiful rime ice atop Linville Peak and the Mile High Swinging Bridge, to usher in a bright and picturesque New Year's Day.

The gorgeous photos were captured this week by Amy Renfranz and Tommy Oakley of the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation.

It's certainly a winter wonderland!
