ROCK HILL, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Two children, ages 4 and 8, were transported to the hospital after a man operating a Jeep Wrangler hit them Wednesday afternoon in Rock Hill, police said.
The incident happened at 3:24 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 600 block of Lige Street.
As officers arrived at the scene, they found two children that had been struck by a Jeep. The vehicle was being driven by Willie King Brown, 40, of Rock Hill.
Police said an 8-year-old girl was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment of a foot injury and a 4-year-old girl was flown to Levine’s Childrens Hospital in Charlotte where she's listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver was not harmed, police said.
Brown was uninjured. During the investigation he was found to be driving under suspension and was cited for DUS and released. The accident remains under active investigation by the Rock Hill Police Department Serious Accident Reconstruction Team.
