IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A Statesville man is facing multiple charges including felony possession of heroin following a traffic stop in Iredell County, deputies said.
Scott Richard Davis, 34, of Statesville, is charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office pulled over Davis in March 2018 in Mooresville for a traffic violation. Once pulled over, it was discovered Davis was driving with a suspended license. During questioning, Davis' behavior became more suspicious at which point he admitted to deputies that he had drugs in his vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies found heroin as well as other related items of drug paraphernalia.
Davis was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond.
