Police: Stolen vehicle recovered during break-in at West Charlotte High School

- A stolen vehicle was recovered Monday morning while officers were responding to a reported break-in at West Charlotte High School, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. 

Officers responded to an alarm call at 5:46 a.m. at West Charlotte High School at 2219 Senior Drive. As they arrived on scene, they saw several people running from the school. 

The K-9 Unit responded and assisted officers in tracking the group, but were unable to find them. 

A reported stolen vehicle was found during the search. This remains an open and active investigation.
