Surveillance camera footage leads to burglary arrest in Denver

- A homeowners surveillance camera footage lead to the arrest of a Denver, NC man for breaking and entering.

Detectives say that the victims home in Denver was broken into twice between July 26 and July 27.  Forty dollars in cash was stolen along with a number of food items. Due to past break-ins the homeowner had a trail camera installed on a tree outside of the home.  After reviewing the camera footage Investigators were able to identify the suspect.

Lincoln County Sheriff Investigators say that Shane Vincent Amoroso, 44, of Denver Shores Lane in Denver was arrested on two counts of felony breaking and entering, one felony count of larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods. 

He is being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.  His first court appearance will be July 31, 2017.
