Police have arrested two men in connection to the death of another man they say was shot at a Charlotte Walmart parking lot over the weekend.
Thirty-five-year-old Rechard Mickle died Sunday morning after being shot on Tryon Street in Charlotte and then dropped off at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
On Wednesday Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged Ibrahim Nathaniel Muhammad with the murder of Mickle.
After investigating evidence led police to Muhammad as the second suspect. Muhammad was arrested early Wednesday morning.
On Tuesday, CMPD charged 22-year-old Kedar Aziz Muhammad with Mickle’s murder.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said about 9 p.m. Saturday, officers located an abandoned vehicle in the Walmart shopping center parking lot in the 8100 block of Tryon Street. No victims were found.
The next day, the Mount Holly Police Department contacted CMPD about a male victim with gunshot wounds who was dropped off at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. The victim was later identified as Mickle.
Detectives believe Mickle was shot on Tryon Street before he was dropped off at the medical center.
Muhammad was taken to police headquarters where he was interviewed by Homicide/ADW Unit Detectives and subsequently transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
This is an ongoing, active investigation.
