Suspect in west Charlotte shooting that injured 2 arrested

- The suspect in a Monday afternoon shooting that left two people injured has been arrested, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. 

Kawan Hoover, 25, is accused of injuring two people in a late night shootout that occurred in the 3000 block of Reid Ave. near Coronia St.

One man was shot in the torso and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A woman who was also at the scene was grazed by a bullet and as a result suffered a minor injury to the leg. 

Hoover is facing two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of injury to personal property.

No other information has been released at this time.
