STATESVILLE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Two suspects from a January shooting in Statesville that left three people with injuries, including a 9-year-old girl, have been arrested.
Police have charged Enrico Dewoine Heggins, 34, and Rayka Sade Ellis, 24, with multiple charges including 3 counts of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and accessory after the fact.
Statesville Police Investigators say 2 adults and a 9-year-old girl inside the home on Caldwell St. were shot and injured. The suspects allegedly fired more than 60 rounds into the residence.
Heggins was arrested in Davie County after authorities there raided a motel room he was in. He faces multiple drug charges from that raid and is currently in the Davie County Detention Center. He will be transported to Iredell County at a later date, according to detectives. His bond has been set at 1 million dollars. Ellis is currently booked at the Iredell County Detention Center.
