Teen accused of stealing vehicle from east Charlotte gas station

- A 16-year-old is facing multiple charges after police said he stole a person's vehicle while they were pumping gas at an east Charlotte gas station. 

The theft happened at 9:43 a.m. Thursday, August 2 at the QuikTrip located at 3206 Eastway Drive. 

The victim told officers a young man took his vehicle while they were pumping gas. The suspect, later identified as Deeshun Dade, 16, was later spotted by police in the reported stolen vehicle. 

Dade jumped and ran from the vehicle before he was taken into custody, police said. 

According to CMPD, Dade has been charged with assault by pointing a gun, two counts of common law robbery, failure to heed light or siren, flee/elude arrest, hit/run failure to stop property damage, two counts of larceny of motor vehicle, no operators license, three counts of possession of stolen goods/property, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
