Teen charged for pointing a gun at the S.C. Strawberry Festival

- A 14-year-old teen has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at another teen at the S.C. Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill, according to Major Bryan Zachary of the Fort Mill Police Dept.

Officers on duty at the festival were dispatched to an altercation involving several teens. Police say that a 14-year-old boy pointed a handgun at another 14-year-old boy and threatened him. The boy also pointed the gun at another teen. Police say this was a result of an argument that the teens had before coming to the festival.

The teen suspect was located by police near the Wells Fargo Bank on Tom Hall St. and was taken into custody. He is charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, and one count of assault & battery 2nd degree.

The teen is being held at the York County Detention Center, pending a family court hearing.
