Thousands of dollars worth of Equipment stolen from pastor of local church

- Sunday's are now a little quieter at one local church.

Abundant Faith Word Church of Charlotte is facing a major setback after someone broke into their pastors home and stole several thousand dollars worth of equipment.

Abundant Faith recently planted its roots in Charlotte. The congregation meets each Sunday at a local elementary school.

As a result, much of their praise and worship equipment has been stored at their pastor's home. That is until Friday, when the pastor and his wife returned home from out of town to find all of it gone.

“We put a lot of our time, energy and savings into this and rallied in donations and did a lot of things to get this type of equipment. But we’re going to get through it somehow,” said Pastor Amere May, Sr.

May filed a police report with CMPD. That report shows nearly $40-thousand total was stolen from May's home. The church is hoping to replace a majority of the equipment stolen through donations. Anyone who may be able to help them can contact May through the church's website: www.afcc.org.
