Toddler bonds with CMPD officer at Charlotte gas station

- All you need is love.

It was about 10 a.m. Tuesday morning when Ornella Lenga-Bukasa pulled into a gas station located in front of the Target on Albemarle Road in Charlotte.

Her daughter, 2-year-old Brianna, spotted a CMPD police cruiser and wanted to go over and check it out. Officer Ashley Brown was happy to oblige!

Their encounter was captured on cell phone video by Brianna's mom.

"It means everything to me personally because my husband and I are teaching her the importance of the police and that if she is ever scared of anything she could always run TOWARDS the police. So for Officer Ashley to welcome her the way she did proves us right. Especially with all the nonsense that is going on in regards to law enforcement, it's reassuring that there are a lot of amazing, passionate and hard working officers out there. And that's what we need to show our children all over America," Lenga-Bukasa said to FOX 46 Charlotte.
