Toddler pulled from North Carolina pool last week has died

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A toddler who was pulled from a swimming pool in North Carolina last week has died.

Fayetteville police said in a news release the 2-year-old girl died around 10 a.m. Saturday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The girl's name has not been released.

She was found in the pool at a home shortly before 2 p.m. last Wednesday. Police have not said how she ended up in the water.

Family members were trying to revive the child when first-responders arrived.
