Traffic stop yields stolen car, results in three arrests

A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of three people after deputies discovered the group was in possession of illegal narcotics and operating a stolen vehicle. 

The traffic stop occurred on Wednesday, June 6, when Burke County deputies recognized Cody Lowdermilk, 22, who had an active warrant for his arrest, inside the vehicle. 

Deputies determined the vehicle had been reported stolen. Drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine were also found inside the car. 

Two other people inside the vehicle, identified as Katlynn Amanda McGovern, 30, and Beverly Denise Freeman, 32, were taken into custody with Lowdermilk. 

All three face multiple charges including possession of a stolen motor vehicle. All were transported to the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility.
