A Charlotte teenager said he was kicked out of Donald Trump's rally on Thursday -- even though he was a Trump supporter.
"I get a tap on the shoulder and some guy is telling me, 'follow me," Jake Anantha said. "So I go and follow him and he explains that I fit the profile of a known protestor and I have to leave."
Anantha said this was the first political rally he had ever attended. Anantha, who said he is half-Indian, believes he was racially profiled.
"I was frustrated," he said. "I was trying to say I'm not who you think I am."
The Director of Communications for North Carolina's Trump campaign, Kirk Bell, said a group of people who had been identified as protestors were kicked out of the rally. When asked specifically about Anantha, who claimed to have never been a rally before, the campaign declined to comment.
