Two charged in deadly overnight shooting in Rock Hill

- Two people have been arrested for their involvement in an overnight shooting in Rock Hill.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Cherry Laurel Lane, according to police.

Police say 20-year-old Isaiah Shinn was shot and killed while sitting in a car around 12:26 a.m. Thursday, May 18. 

Detectives made two arrests in an apartment on Cherry Laurel Lane, a short distance from the shooting scene.

The weapon has been recovered by authorities.

Ernest Markevius Thompson, 21, is charged with murder, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, and two attempted murder charges.

Police say the two attempted murder charges involve two other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the shooting. They were not hit or injured.

Lauren Nicole Rawlinson, 24, is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

At the bond hearing Wednesday afternoon Thompson's bond was denied. Rawlinson's bond was set at $100,000.
