14-year-old girl killed in drive-by shooting in Chester County, 2 in custody

- Two people are in custody after a 14-year-old girl was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday night in Chester County, deputies said. 

The teenage girl has been identified as 14-year-old Jada Jones of Rock Hill, South Carolina, according to the Chester County coroner. 

Jones was a student at Rawlinson Road Middle School and Raven Academy during the 2017-2018 school year, according to Rock Hill Schools. 

"Our thoughts and prayers are extended to family and friends of Jada Jones," Rock Hill Schools said in a released written statement. 

The deadly shooting occurred at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 10 in the 500 block of Pinckney Road in Chester.

Deputies tell FOX 46 Charlotte the young girl was not targeted, and was just an innocent bystander in the shooting. 

The Chester County Sheriff's Office plans to hold a news conference at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
