An altercation involving several people led to a fatal shooting in east Charlotte on Saturday.
Around 2:30 p.m., officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the 4100 block of Colebrook Road where they found 25-year-old Jarel D'Shaun Grace suffering from gunshot wounds in the front yard.
Grace was transported by Medic to the hospital where he later died.
Shortly after, officers were called to the 4000 block of Briarhill Drive where another person had been shot. The victim was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. The person walked to that location in attempt to call 911 for help, police say.
Police later learned that a third victim was shot. That person had left the scene of the homicide prior to officers arriving to the location. He went to CMC-University where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The initial investigation reveals that the three victims were shot multiple times after a disagreement took place. Three suspects were robbing the victims when the shootings occurred.
