CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A road was closed in northeast Charlotte Thursday afternoon after a vehicle clipped a CMPD cruiser and led the officer involved on a short pursuit before crashing into a telephone pole.
The wreck happened at the corner of North Graham Street and Ennis Avenue.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a driver in a SUV sideswiped one of their cruisers and that officer involved turned around and pursued the vehicle.
The vehicle attempted to speed away and crashed into a telephone pole.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
