UNION COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A woman has been arrested following a car chase, according to the Union County Sheriff's Office.
Ashley Tyson, 29, was taken into custody after she refused to stop when a Union County deputy attempted to pull her over for failure to display a license plate and erratic driving around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
Tyson attempted to flee the scene, but collided with two cars at the intersection of Highway 74 and Sunset Drive in Monroe.
She then got out of the car and tried to run away on foot, but was caught. She is now charged with fleeing to elude, possession of a schedule two drug, two counts of hit and run and several other traffic violations.
Tyson is being held at the Union County Jail under a $30,000 bond. Her first court date is set for Friday.
