Around 8:30 a.m, CMPD received a report of a sexual assault and attempted kidnapping in the 2600 block of Briarcliff Place.

It's scary, very scary," one woman said.

According to CMPD, the suspect inappropriately touched the victim and then tried to restrain her against her will. The victim did not know the suspect.

Others in the area weren't aware of the crime until Wednesday morning.

"I was out of town last night and I came in this morning and got a lot of emails about it. I don't even know what street it was on," another woman in the area said.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s with a medium build and possibly having a beard. He was driving a silver four-door car.  Anyone with information is asked to contact CMPD.
