NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A North Charleston woman diagnosed with lung, brain and stage four breast cancer got her dying wish-- to marry her fiancee-- just days before she passed away.
Thanks to Trident Medical Center, Kizzie and David Hall were married inside of the hospital in a small ceremony with friends and family.
“Meet the newlyweds - Her body is battling cancer, but her spirit can't be conquered. Their wish was to get married. It came true tonight as the Trident Medical Center family had the privilege of hosting their highly anticipated event. Thank you, David and Kizzie Hall. Your love for each other inspires us,” the hospital wrote in a Facebook post.
A GoFundMe page created for "Kizzie's wedding" says that she was diagnosed in June of 2016 with three different forms of cancer. She and David had met two months before she was diagnosed.
Kizzie was a single mother of three, and David a single father of two.
Unfortunately, Kizzie passed away three days after the wedding, according to a post her husband put on Facebook.
“I regret to inform you that Kizzie passed on Saturday evening. She was surrounded by family and wrapped in love. Kizzie was, and will always be the love of my life and our families faith in God will get us through this,” he wrote.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hall family.
