A vicious dog attack leaves a toy poodle on oxygen and fighting for his life.
The medical costs are climbing as the owner may be forced to put him down.
"He's so sweet and gentle. He's so cute," said Trista Smith, owner of the toy poodle.
But an ugly accident being investigated by CMPD's Animal Care and Control has her dog fighting for his life.
Khari was on this way back inside from using the bathroom and out nowhere, according to Trista, the neighbors two dogs attacked her toy poodle after being accidentally let out the front door by the neighbor's young daughter.
"He was all bloody and whimpering. I just kind of lost it," Smith said.
Adding to her struggle is trying to come up with the funds for Khari's surgery.
Doctors told her bringing him home now without surgery, he would only have around a 15% chance of living
She's doing everything she can to raise enough money to get 75% of his procedure paid-off so she doesn't have to cut his life short.
"Khari is very important to me because I can't have children. There is a challenge for me to have children so he is my baby. That is my baby and I love him so much," Smith said.
