CONWAY, SC - A South Carolina teen's rendition of the "McDonald's drive-thru song" has gone viral and gained national attention.
In the video posted to her Facebook posted on Aug. 8, 16-year-old Cecily Hennigan busts out into song while placing her order at the McDonald's drive-thru as her friends provide a beat.
So far the video has more than 160,000 views and has been shared more than 3,000 times.
"I wanted to clear up the fact that that is not my song, a lot of people thought it was. It is by Toddrick Hall," Hennigan clarified in a follow-up video. "I used to watch his YouTube videos a lot and he made a song like that, and that was his song, and I loved it when I was a kid and I just memoried it." Hall's original video went viral with more than 10 million view on Facebook in 2010.
Since the video was posted The Conway High School teen has earned national recognition with her clip appearing on the Today Show.
Singing isn't just a hobby for Hennigan, it's something she is truly passionate about. She told WMBF that she would be attending South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities to finish high school where she'll be majoring in music.
