REDDING, CA (FOX 46 WJZY) - A woman who took to social media to mourn about her friend's death is now charged in his murder, according to the Redding Police Department.
Lindsey Waite, 22, posted on Facebook that she was feeling broken hearted explaining, "This morning one of my greatest friends I've ever had killed himself. I found his body. This pain I and so many others feel right now. I am in too much hurt to make a whole post right now."
She went on to say that, "I love you Ravine Edward Shadowfire RIP Joshua O'Malley You will always have a place in my heart. Brother and Friend be safe."
About 24 hours after the post, police charged Waite and Russell David Karfs Lewis, 22, with murder.
According to the Redding Police Department, officers responded to the report of a deceased person under a bridge at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 in the 2700 block of Favretto Avenue in south Redding. The body was identified as Joshua O'Malley.
Waite and Karfs were interviewed on Friday where police said the two ultimately confessed to participating in the murder of O'Malley. Both have been booked into the Shasta County Jail.
Both are being held on a $1 million bond.
