Game time Conditions for the NFC Championship

Snow and ice will not stand in the way of Charlotte hosting its first NFC Championship Sunday. The winter storm that moved through Charlotte Friday began to clear by mid-day Saturday.

Sunday will be full of sunshine and dry with a daytime high at 43 degrees. The temperature will drop to 36 degrees by kickoff at 6:40 p.m. Fans should use caution on bridges and ramps like I-77 southbound to Morehead Street, exit 10A, just in case there's still some lingering ice.

Officials at Charlotte Douglas International Airport say the Cardinals will arrive at the airport Saturday.

"We will make sure that the Cards get into town. We've got a spot picked out for them already," said Jack Christine, Deputy Aviation Director at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

Crews hurried to clear seats at Bank of America stadium (and had a little fun in the process).

The Panthers are planning to remove the tarp from the field Saturday to allow the turf to dry out. Conditions will greatly improve by Sunday, with the forecast calling for temperatures in the low-40s with light winds.

The Panthers had a strong practice Friday in the snow. Coach Ron Rivera said they decided to practice because of their team mantra, "don't let it get in the way."
