Talladega, Ala. - It is safe to say Matt Kenseth is not over his late-race incident with Joey Logano last weekend at Kansas Speedway.
The two drivers were battling hard for the race lead when Logano made contact with the left rear of Kenseth’s car entering the first turn, sending the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota spinning and out of contention for the win.
When asked Friday if he had discussed the incident with Logano this week, Kenseth’s short answer was simple, “No. Um, no. Yeah, I haven’t heard from him.”
After going on to win last week's race at Kansas, Logano described the incident as "hard racing" and said he was racing Kenseth the way he himself was being raced. But Kenseth certainly didn't see it that way -- and obviously still doesn't.
“First of all, he should have stopped running his mouth, ‘A,’ and, No. 2, he’s lying when he said didn’t do it on purpose,” said Kenseth. “He’s too good of a race-car driver to do that by accident.”
