CHARLOTTE, NC - The Wolfpack are preparing for the final challenge of 2015, but don't expect the team to change much about its approach.
"It's details," said head coach Dave Doeren. "It's all about polishing up the game-plan, and doing the things that we need to do to play a four quarter game."
On Sunday the 'Pack was at Mallard Creek High School, taking advantage of the turf field. The Belk Bowl is coming up this Wednesday, and anticipation is growing for NC State.
"The guys are excited about what's coming in front of them," Doeren said.
"It's a great feeling," said Mike Rose, defensive end. "I'm glad to be in Charlotte. We're all glad to be in the Belk Bowl, and it's really good to be in Charlotte."
There's always noise surrounding the SEC and its football programs, but Wolfpack players didn't seem too concerened about the hype.
"We know Mississippi State is a good football team," said Jaylen Samuels, tight end and Mallard Creek grad. "We know they're big, SEC, but we're just going to come in here, prepare the right way, take every team like we do."
NC State will try to put the SEC and ACC on notice with a bowl victory this Wednesday.
