If you were at the Panthers vs. Seahawks game last Sunday, then you're on candid camera. Academy Sports + Outdoors produced a 360 degree shot of Bank of America Stadium called Fancam. It captured everyone on the field and in the stands.
On the website, you can pivot around to find you and your friends. You can also tag yourself using your Facebook page, which in turn stamps your picture with a Panthers logo. Some people are finding themselves in the stands. Others are imagining themselves as Panthers players like Luke Kuechly, who has already been tagged more than 5 times.
"We saw Fancam as a unique way to help fans capture a monumental moment in Charlotte sports history, and we’re looking forward to doing that again at the NFC Championship game on Sunday," said a spokesperson for Academy Sports + Outdoors.
Many fans in Bank of America stadium saw the photographer grabbing the shots from the field. At one point during the game, a referee was waiting on the photographer to finish up so they could continue the game.
The Panthers play the Cardinals Sunday at 6:40 p.m. on FOX 46 WJZY.
