Panthers' Peppers gets early milestone sack vs. Eagles

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)-- Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers didn't need long to reach a milestone sack.

Peppers stripped Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz on a sack on the game-opening drive, leading to a quick takeaway and putting Peppers at 150 career sacks.

That play pushed Peppers to fifth all-time in career sacks, though the NFL didn't keep track of the stat until 1982.
