Steve Smith, DeAngelo Williams talk about their former team heading to the Super Bowl

Some of the Carolina Panthers most well-respected and loved alums are saying good things about the franchise they used to play for. Running back DeAngelo Williams and wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. had kind words for their former teammates.

Steve Smith Sr. is arguably one of the greatest Carolina Panthers ever. He played for the team from 2001-2013, and was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. He's one of only a handful of players in the NFL to get 900 catches, 13,000 receiving yards and 70 receiving touchdowns.

DeAngelo Williams left the Panthers after the 2015 season with the team's record in rushing yards. He got picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but still shows love to his old team.
