CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Some of the coldest air of the season is invading Charlotte Thursday morning.
Prepare for temperatures in the teens and 20s as you walk out the door.
The mountain counties of Avery, Ashe and Watauga are under a wind chill advisory until noon. Those counties run the risk of having wind chill values drop to as low as -20 degrees.
Temperatures Thursday afternoon will be running well below average for the entire FOX 46 viewing area. Highs in the mountains will only reach the 20s highs in the piedmont will hit the low 40s.
Here’s the good news-- warmer air starts to move in by Friday afternoon.
Towards the end of this weekend and into next week it feel less like winter and more like spring!
