Cranberry Apple Tart

Makes one 9" tart

1 parbaked tart crust
2 - 12oz bags fresh cranberries
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup golden raisins
2 - large apples, cut into 1" chunks
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
4 day old muffins, scones or cookies
1/4 cup butter, melted

Put the cranberries, both sugars, raisins, apples and spices into a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat until cranberries pop and apples are soft. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Crumble baked goods into a bowl and pour butter over them. Mix to create a heavy crumb.

When oven is heated and tart filling is cool, scoop the filling into the shell. Level it out, it will not spread when cooking. Top with crumb. Bake for about 20 minutes or until crumb is lightly browned.

Let cool slightly then remove tart from pan. Top with ice cream and dig in.
