$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Charlotte

Saturday's Powerball drawing produced a $1 million winner in Charlotte. The Powerball ticket was sold at Earps on Cambridge Commons Dr. in east Charlotte, according to N.C. Lottery officials.

The winning numbers were 13-17-25-36-40 for the white balls and 5 for the red Powerball. 

The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize, according to lottery officials. The jackpot in Wednesday's drawing has reached $348 million, worth $207.4 million cash.

Draw games like Powerball make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $600 million a year for education.
