1 person killed, 6 injured in Rock Hill fire

One person died and six others were injured in a Rock Hill house fire early Saturday. 

The Rock Hill Fire Department responded to the 1000 block of Southland Drive around 12:37 a.m.

When firefighters arrived on scene they were able to rescue two adults and five children from the burning home.

A 35-year-old adult female was pronounced dead on scene by EMS personnel and six others were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The name of the deceased has not been released at this time. 

The Rock Hill Fire Department and the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are investigating.
