CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are searching for those responsible after a 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg in what police are calling a 'specifically targeted' attack at a northwest Charlotte home.
The shooting happened at 2:33 a.m. Thursday, April 11 in the 700 block of Mistral Way.
According to police, multiple shots were fired from outside the house by unknown suspect(s). Detectives are working to determine the motive. Four people were inside the home when the shooting broke out, including a 13-year-old boy who was struck in the leg.
CMPD said the teen's name will not be released due to his age. The 13-year-old was transported to the hospital for treatment.
So far, no arrests have been made. This remains an open and ongoing investigation.
