Damontez Corbitt, 24, is charged with first degree murder in the death of Therrisha Steward.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Two men have been charged in a northeast Charlotte shooting that left a woman dead.
Damontez Corbitt, 24, and Tequndo Cradle, 41, have each been charged with first degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Therrisha Steward. Corbitt is also being charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Steward was found in the 1400 block of Tom Hunter Road around 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26 after police were called to perform a welfare check.
When officers arrived, they found Steward with an apparent gunshot wound on the side of the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Corbitt and Cradle will both be interviewd before being placed in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
