CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - Emergency personnel have been called back to McClintock Middle School Friday, one day after 12 students were treated for heat-related illness.
One parent tells FOX 46 Charlotte that her child became sick both days and was throwing up, had a fever, chills, fatigue and passed out. One student could be seen being was carted out on a stretcher.
A parent told FOX 46 Charlotte that a teacher also passed out.
Charlotte Fire says 23 children and one adult have been treated.
Charlotte Fire and Medic responded to McClintock Middle School on Thursday and treated a dozen students after they reported symptoms of feeling dizzy and lightheaded. One student even fainted. Two students had to be taken to the hospital.
CMS said they're working to determine the exact cause of the illness.
