24-year-old man killed in Mint Hill wreck

A 24-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Mint Hill, according to the Mint Hill Police Department. 

The wreck happened at 8:35 a.m. in the 12600 block of Lawyers Road. 

As officers arrived on scene they located a 2005 Honda off the roadway against a tree. The driver of the vehicle was still inside but was not conscious. Officers removed the man and performed CPR until Medic arrived on scene. 

The man, Nicholas Scott Salisbury, 24, of Mint Hill, was pronounced dead on scene. 

Police said no one else was inside the vehicle and no other cars appeared to be involved in the crash. The wreck remains under investigation however police said speed does appear to be a factor.
