Stacey Amanda Bell, 28, has been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Jermaine Moore, police say.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Four people are facing a slew of charges including first-degree murder just days after a man was found dead inside his Charlotte apartment, according to police.
Stacey Amanda Bell, 28, Robert Jamar Brewer, 28, Earl Tieren Jackson, 30, and Kaila Robinson, 18, have been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Jermaine Moore, police said.
On Thursday, Jan. 17, Robinson was arrested by members from the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. Earlier Friday morning, VCAT located and arrested Bell, Brewer and Jackson without incident.
At 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, investigators were called to an apartment complex off Forestbrook Drive in west Charlotte where they discovered a man, identified as Moore, dead inside one of the apartment units.
CMPD hasn't said how Moore died, but neighbors told FOX 46 they heard several gunshots early Saturday morning. They also spotted a suspicious UHAUL van parked outside the apartment.
"Yeah the UHAUL was just sitting on the side of the road. I didn't think anything of it until they said it might have been someone who was involved,” neighbor Chelsea Albarez said on Saturday.
All four suspects will be charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. All four people will be turned over to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
This remains an open and ongoing investigation.
