$5,000 reward offered for NC girl missing since 2011

The Charlotte Division of the FBI is offering $5,000 reward for news tips to find a missing teen who has been missing for five years.

Rachel Natacha Owens was last seen getting into a car outside of her school on May 5, 2011. 

She rode the bus to South Brunswick High in Boiling Spring Lakes, NC. She got off the bus and was seen on surveillance video getting into a small, dark colored car with a possible SC license plate.

The FBI received information that Rachel may have been seen in Columbus, Ohio in 2014.

The search is expanding to Ohio and Special Agents are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the recovery of Rachel and the identification, arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance.

She is now 20 and may go by Raquel or Rakel. 

Rachel has run away in the past and expressed interest in going to Mexico. She has not had any contact with family or friends since the day she left.

She may be with a Hispanic man who is much older and possible works in construction.
