Six people have been arrested in connection to several break-ins and larceny cases near Lake James over the past several weeks, according to the Burke County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they received multiple calls in regards to stolen goods being taken to an address in McDowell County. Deputies followed up on the information and recovered a stolen Sea-doo with a trailer, and a Polaris four-wheeler at 96 George Drive in Nebo about two weeks ago.

The investigation continued and deputies said they returned to 96 George Drive last week and arrested four people for their involvement.

Deputies said they recovered a motorcycle last week and a four-wheeler this week off Browning View Road in two separate fields/wooded areas.

According to the sheriff's office, a fifth person, Anthony Mull, was arrested at a garage located off Highway 70 West near Glen Alpine on Thursday, October 13.

On Friday, October 14, officers arrested a sixth person, Brandon Fox, on Snowhill Church Road. Fox was hiding in the trunk of his girlfriend’s vehicle, Sabrina Starnes.  Deputies said there was a loaded 12 gauge shotgun lying beside Fox along with narcotics inside the trunk.
