$6,000 in merchandise stolen from Victoria's Secret in Huntersville, police say

Three suspects are in custody and one is still being sought in connection to a robbery where more than $6,000 worth of merchandise was taken from a Victoria's Secret in Birkdale Village, according to the Huntersville Police Department. 

The robbery happened this weekend. Huntersville Police said four suspects took handfuls of merchandise, left the store and then were confronted by civilians. 

One suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun, but it was later discovered he did not brandish the weapon. The four suspects left the area in a vehicle but were quickly located by officers on I-77. 

Once pulled over, two of the suspects ran away from the car. The other two were taken into custody. One of the fleeing suspects was caught by a K-9 Vader, police said. A fourth suspect remains on the run. 

All stolen property was recovered, police said.
