Airport Officials: Arizona Cardinals will Arrive in Charlotte Saturday

Airlines plan to return to normal operation as much as possible Saturday after 12 p.m. now that a major snow and ice storm has moved through North Carolina.

There may be not so many Cards fans in the stands of Bank of America Stadium Sunday. Many Arizona Cardinal fans who planned to fly into Charlotte for the NFC Championship game have been impacted by cancelations and delays. Officials at Charlotte Douglas International Airport say Arizona's team will not have the same trouble.

"We will make sure that the Cards get into town. We've got a spot picked out for them already," said Jack Christine, Deputy Aviation Director at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

It'll be up to the team to adjust to the freezing temperatures in the Charlotte area. Arizona has been enjoying temperatures in the 80's.

"Well, maybe that'll be an advantage," Christine said.
